“Echte Vielfalt” is the motto of the action plan for the acceptance of diverse sexual identities in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. This action plan came about in 2014 following a unanimous decision by the state parliament and has since been supported by a broad alliance from the queer community.

The Ombudswoman for Social Affairs of the State of Schleswig-Holstein (Bürgerbeauftragte) is committed to combating all forms of discrimination and promoting equal and tolerant coexistence in our state.

HAKI e.V. is a non-profit association in the field of emancipation of gender diversity, same-sex lifestyles and diverse sexual orientations with a state-wide offer for Schleswig-Holstein as well as offers with a focus in the state capital Kiel.

The youth network lambda::nord e.V. is a non-profit and voluntarily organized association that supports the interests of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, inter* and queer adolescents and young adults in the federal states of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. To this end, lambda::nord maintains information and advice centers.

Trans SH is a non-profit association based in Kiel and strives to network trans-active people and initiatives in Schleswig-Holstein and beyond.

Trans SH is involved in the state action plan “Real Diversity” and the “Round Table Transgender Northern Germany” to reduce prejudice and discrimination and strengthen self-help. Trans SH is also active in Lübeck.
